Oneclick is an online software used to perform Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) in the construction sector and sustainable consulting, which allows measuring and analysing the environmental impact of projects throughout their lifetime by calculating the carbon footprint of buildings, the analysis of different materials and their environmental impact, the comparison of different design scenarios, the generation of sustainability reports and databases of materials and their environmental impacts. In addition, it is possible to integrate other tools for building design and modelling (BIM) as well as for energy design and modelling (IES).
The platform allows different work teams to collaborate in carrying out analyses, sharing data and results, collaborating in the fulfilment of the environmental requirements established in various sustainability regulations and certifications, such as LEED, BREEAM and others.
The Circular Economy is an economic model that seeks to minimise waste and maximise the efficient use of resources. Unlike the traditional linear economy model, which follows a ‘produce, use and dispose’ approach, the circular economy promotes a closed cycle in which products, materials and resources are reused, repaired, recycled or regenerated, thus avoiding the generation of waste. This reduces dependence on finite resources and helps mitigate climate change.
The cradle-to-grave (and cradle-to-cradle) life cycle model is the one that shows you the full environmental footprint of a product.
Having the full footprint of a product results in:
Both the cradle-to-grave and cradle-to-cradle life cycle models analyse the entire life cycle of a product. But when a product is wasted at the end of its useful life, the life cycle model is cradle-to-grave. And if the product is recycled or reused at the end of its useful life, the life cycle model is cradle to cradle.
